August's high temperatures started out a little below normal, then cooled off a bit during the middle of the month, and ended a lot warmer than usual. No records were made for high temperatures this month. In all, the high temperature was about two degrees higher than usual. The low temperatures jumped around a bit throughout the month, though several times the low temperatures were normal. At the end of the month, low temperatures were a little cool. No low temperature records were set.

We only recieved .11 inches of rain., about 3/4 of an inch below normal. This is the fourth month in a row since February that we have received below normal rainfall. There were no record setting days of rainfall this month. Even with the shortage of precipitation, we are still above normal from where we should be this time of year. The 2002-2003 water year will have no shortage of rain when the end of the 12 month period comes around.
